This week, HRC sent an action alert about the reintroduction of the Marriage Protection Amendment. In it, one could send a prewritten (with room for customization) email message to both of the Senators from a given state. You are always welcome to move to West Virginia and share *our* Senators. Neither of them are perfect, but they are both decent men, both Democrats, and both of them despise Bush (Senator Byrd is absolutely notorious for opposing him at every given opportunity).

Weird thing. West Virginia has two Democratic Senators, a Democratic Governer, and a Democrat-heavy legislature. But WV went for Bush in the election. It boggles the mind. *sighs*

*hugs* If we could, we would, believe me. Dr. Allard (yes, he is a doctor - a horse vet in the Springs) needs to go back to his patients. At least he offered (or his office offered) me the COURTESY of a response. I'm damn disapppointed in the lack of response from Salazar. Makes me want to rethink my vote...and I hate that.

I'm kind of disappointed - but not that surprised- that WV went for Bushco. I was surprised that there's a Dem governor there now. Maybe there's still hope for 2008?
