This entire debacle over health care has destroyed what tiny remaining shreds of hope for the future and trust in "the system" to ever change anything that I'd held onto neigh these many years.

So long as career politicians are in office in this country, we are fucked. All they care about is talking big and staying in office. They're made of hot air, and little else.

The only hope is random elections by lottery. But of course, nothing that smart and effective will come to pass.
