I found it very useful.  It compares the House Dem bill, the Senate Dem bill, and the GOP bill.

Thanks for the link.

What will finally be enacted, if anything, may not follow either the house or senate published versions, after going through the gyrations between them to placate house and senate.

Did you notice the $400 Billion in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid?
If you know anyone using either now, ask them how much it presently covers, and how much extra they have to pay a provider for treatment. And ask how much private medigap coverage costs them.
Doctors are refusing patients with medicare now because of low reimbursement - can you imagine what will happen when the rate is cut further? (maybe the idea is to eliminate medicare/medicaid that way)

Another little gem in the house bill: "...sizable penalties paid by individuals and employers who don't obtain coverage..." which
translates to: participate or we will make you wish you had. Read
what it really means here: http://republicans.waysandmeans.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=153583

Pay particular attention to the penalties provisions, to be enforced through the IRS. Why the IRS? They already have the power to seize all your assets and toss your ass in jail, and they only use Tax Courts, not the normal judicial system.

Remember, there is no magic "government money", only that which they remove from taxpayer's pockets one way or another, sooner or later.

This is progress, government style. This is doing good for the people, government style - accept this or Big Brother will make you wish you had.

Where in the Constitution does it say any of this is within the purview of the Federal Government? (What the hell is the good of a constitution now, anyway? It's an impediment to government, right?)

And yes, THIS IS SOCIALISM. Good call, Sprockey.

Isn't it nice to be living in the land of the free?

Question: What are you/we going to do about it?

Possible options:
1) Throw all present officeholders out - ALL OF THEM.
2) Tar and feathers?
3) Begin the second Revolutionary War?
