I got in to the Crowsnest Pass from Canmore at 12:30am, slept, got up, drove back to Lethbridge, went straight in to work, did my shift, went straight out to a photoshoot, and then went storm chasing. This was actually taken in Lethbridge (reread the post... I realize now it is a bit confusing, but it went Canmore --> CNP --> Lethbridge). However, your point is still very true... I am hoping to go home for a couple months in the fall before setting out on my travels in October. I miss it there!

Your truck tires are useful in protecting you in the case of a power line contacting your vehicle. Stay in the vehicle until help arrives and the lines are shut off. In the case of a lightning strike, your tires will explode and catch fire. Get out of the truck immediately following the hit. Good luck with that.
