Another weekly update

Another eventful week for me. On Monday we had an unexpected surprise at the farm... a mare who was due at the end of May had her foal a month early! It's a little bay filly with no white on her at all. Cute as a button and friendly to boot. If you give her a good petting and then run away, she'll chase after you and if you're lucky, throw in a ( Read more... )

LOL.

Well, we're going to ask the lady who has been taking care of her if she wants to take her, but she's moving to BC so were not sure. So I can't say for sure if you can take her until we know what's going on there... But I would love for her to stay closer than BC, really, to be honest.. then at least I'd have a chance to know how she's doing and visit her. :)

This is your horse? Stats? I can't take a horse to keep it, as I already have my keeper horse (and can only afford one through the winter), but I do train and carefully rehome horses, usually locally/regionally. A well-trained horse is almost always guaranteed a good home. :)

no, i mean it. i'm so used to seeing bland pictures, blurry snapshots, and poorly exposed photos on LJ. it's great to see someone with a good eye and some talent. ;)

Yeah, me too, though I'm sure I was guilty of a few of those before I knew what I was doing. I've always set really high standards for myself, though, and now I won't post anything that I'm not proud of unless it's for the sake of reference or amusement -- as the first few in this post are. The light was really hard to work with, but the faceplant was too priceless not to share!

Ahhh! Cute baby! We have none this year, so no sweet baby pictures for me. Wah! Especially love the one under the tail. Riding the lying down horse is pretty good too. He looks mellow as the day is long.

This is the only foal this year, and the first time I've ever been around one for more than one day at a time... in the past, friends with foals have lived too far away to visit regularly. She's a wonderful model, though! Usually half-way through the pictures, she wanders up to lick the camera. :)

We had a foal about three weeks ago, sadly he's been at the vet for the past two weeks with his mom trying to get her rebred. I just love babies. Some how around them I always seem to make a fool of myself. Perhaps is the COOCHOO COOOCHIE LOOK AT DE WIDDLE NOSEY! I think baby's noses are just the cutest... A 17h horse's nose just doesn't fit into the palm of your hand!

She's so soft and friendly! I was just adoring her "widdle nosey" yesterday, too. :p
