You know, I don't think I've ever read a Quidditch story outside canon. I'm glad I did, though, because this was so much fun. It's so nice to see them acting like kids for once.

I'm not particularly fond of Quidditch, and I confess that my eyes skipped over some of the details of play, but I loved the atmosphere you evoked here. How sad that students don't normally get to mess around playing Quidditch because there are so many House practices! I particularly liked the detail of the little Hufflepuff girl who was so excited about being able to play for the first time. It always struck me as a bit odd that there were no sports classes after the initial broomstick flying lesson (though I can completely understand why JKR wouldn't want to get bogged down in writing them).

Antonin was adorable - how refreshing to see a Slytherin who is a) not nasty or brutish and b) offered friendship by students from other houses (and willing to accept it). I had a huge smile on my face when he appeared on the flying carpet - that was such a wonderful idea.

And just as welcome was a Ginny seen in her own right, not just in relationship to Harry. I was struck by her observation: Not once in the game had anyone booed from ( ... )

Its okay that you skipped over parts. I freely admit to doing that with not a few of the stories I read. As for the rest, I dont know how much more I can say in response, you seem to have gotten it all. So, thank you for such a wonderful review. Im truly glad you thought so highly of this story.
