Mom is asking me a question from upstairs. Stepdad is there too, and he asks how my night went (I went out with friends for Book Club). He then made some comments that made me rather uncomfortable. Yeah, that is a little... uh. o.O Seems a little beyond the line for a stepparent to go volunteering lesbians for his stepdaughter.

I don't even know what to think. Maybe it was his way of apologizing, but it just came off as kind of really creepy.

Yeah, that sounds a little sketchy.

I'm sorry if this is out of line, but...does this guy have any redeeming qualities? Because everything I've heard about him from you makes him sound like a complete douchebag.

He is a douchebag. He does do nice things now and then - helps me with my French, takes me to the museum or a movie every once in a while, drives me to/from appointments. Really, when he's not being a sexist, homophobic douchecanoe he's not too bad. It's just difficult to find those moments.
