Not kidding, just happened like 15 minutes ago. She started choking on some peanut butter, and I had to give her the Heimlich to get it out of her airway.

I'm mostly recovered from surgery now. I'm back to working full days, and I traded in the plaster-and-Ace-bandage cast for a neon orange fiberglass one. It's made out of the same kind of cloth and catalyst that you use to patch holes in cars when you do body work, which is vaguely pleasing to me, since I was in for a bit of body work myself. I'm going in for some surgery on the ankle tomorrow morning. If you're having trouble getting hold of me, that'd be the reason.

Shouldn't be anything too bad, just anchoring a torn posterior tendon and transplanting part of another one to shore up the repair.
