I seriously don't know what to say about this: North Korea test.  It scares the shit out of me.  I'm actually nervous and anxious, I don't think I can stand to live in a world of nuclear fear.  How is this still happening?

I just added 'Five Minute Book Reviews' to the non-fiction section of the site.  The fairly uninspired name is the indication that it should only take you about 5 minutes or less to rip through a review.  With this I'm just trying to share my thoughts on books while scraping away all the bullshit that often comes with 'critical' reviews.  No stars ( Read more... )

Just got back from the island, the ol' VI.  Scored three 1st editions, 'Blindness' and 'The Cave' by Jose Saramego and 'Hard-boiled Wonderland and The End of the World' by Haruki Murakami.  Sweet finds at extra sweet prices.  I was laden with knowledge all the way home, sweating as intellect should, under the weight of hardcovers.

Went out with my lady to see Sympathy for Lady Vengeance today, and I was quite stunned. Honestly I thought CW Park would go the route of another OldBoy because it had garnered so much attention abroad, but I was pleased to find that wasn't really the case.
