I was happier with my make-up yesterday, although I foolishly left my wings behind, so... here's to good make-up AND wings on my next outing. :D

I was there at 3:15, but I guess you'd already gone. :(

Yeah, I was actually really stupid and didn't drink any water before going out to stand around in 80 degree heat, so I got really drained and dehydrated pretty quickly. I'm sorry I missed you!

Your golden pirate friend was out though, and she looked amazing. She's switched out that plastic drawer things she was using for a proper treasure chest and it really pulls the whole thing together.

If you still want to swing by, I'm going to go out again tomorrow (Tuesday) after work, around 5:30 and again on Friday night.

She was gone by the time I got there, too! Pretty much the only performers left were that one shirtless contortionist-guy, that NYC breakdance team and the omg-bazillion balloon twisters.

Unfortunately, I can't say I'm surprised. The heat was killer. I thought she'd last a little longer, though, since she clearly has a "hot weather" version of her costume (no pirate jacket or boots, just a lot more gold body paint).

I don't think the crowds will be quite as big, but I'm going to have to either get out there much earlier on weekends, while it's still a little cool out, or much later, when it will begin to cool down while I'm out there.
