Spooks movie rambling (ALL THE SPOILERS)

I saw the Spooks movie today and then I came home and bashed at my keyboard until an overexcited ramble came out.

I can't emphasise enough the fact that there are HUGE spoilers for the film. DO NOT read before you've seen the film.

I can't come over and talk on your lj because SPOILERS, but omg it got announced recently that this is getting an Australian release date later in the year and I had an existential crisis of DO I SEE IT BECAUSE HACK WRITERS ARE BACK, BUT OMG, SPOOOOOOOOKS IS BACK.

Is the film any good? Can I play Spooks bingo to it if it's not? Also lol at Firth trolling and lol at Kit Harrington being in this at all.

Well I TOTALLY get what you mean re: hack writers and I would say that is a caveat (it's definitely in the vein of their episodes than anything more subtle) but it was still recognisably Spooks and still great, while being completely ridiculous.

I really enjoyed it, partly as a Spooks continuation and partly on its own merits. It is a big old action film for sure.

As usual, Peter Firth is having the time of his life. Kit Harington...ymmv (I am not a huge fan but he slotted into the 'serious main bloke character' part quite well)

Also finally, you will probably have great fun playing Spooks bingo. Let me know if you have a card, haha!!

Also, OMG it actually happened and I saw it in a cinema and I live a million miles from anywhere so WTF??! YEAH!!!! Well done, Spooks.
