The Great Detective vs. The Great Old Ones
I recently read A Night in the Lonesome October, one of Roger Zelazny's later books. I enjoyed it for a lot of reasons. Like Neil Gaiman's A Study in Emerald, this story pits Sherlock Holmes against H.P. Lovecraft's Elder Gods. (Though Holmes isn't the main protagonist.) Some thoughts on Dollhouse
It's a little unusual for me to be following a tv show as it airs. I guess I'm a Joss Whedon fan though, so I figured I'd check out Dollhouse. Surprisingly (to me) the show didn't draw me in until the fourth episode, but now that I've seen the fifth episode I'm hooked.

Anime and whatnot
Last week I finished watching three series; Cutie Honey The Live, Ghost Hound, and Darker than Black.
I estimate the risk of anyone both reading this and wanting to watch these shows spoiler-free is fairly low. If you are the odd bird that fits that description then read on with caution.
