I've got a Zombies, Apocalypse and Pandemic rec list on Tumblr here. The list is a mix of wincest and J2, so you will need to read the summary to verify the pairing.
Culling my entire stash this week, so of course I saved both of those. And thanks for the list! As fast as I discard some, I'm adding new ones - once I'm gone, they'll have to throw all my fics into the fire after me!
Still looking for one that has eluded me for more than a year - one where the Apocalypse has happened (Sam said Yes in Detroit). Dean survived - seems like he might be running a bar afterwards, which makes sense, yes? A boy shows up with an old photograph of him and Sam, taken before he said Yes. I've never located it.
Got that one, but that's not it. (Every time I ask this question, everyone recs the Dictionary fic. Every time I see it in my stash, I open it again, just to see if maybe it has changed, but - no.)
The fic I'm still searching for started with a series of interviews - like, a journalist interviewing people for an article - about Sam. And there's that damn photograph that sticks in my head. The one I'm thinking of is of the boy and Sam, not Sam and Dean. No, in the one I'm after, Sam isn't mentally damaged. He's not even physically in the fic until later.
