Summary: Jared was twenty-five and living with his sister and her live-in boyfriend; his best friend from elementary school, Chad, lived down the street and he's working at a Buy More. Barring drugs or hookers, Jared's pretty sure this is what rock bottom looks like. Then, his ex-BFF sent him an encrypted file and now he has a computer in his brain, bad guys chasing him, friends returning from the dead, and oh yeah- a super sexy CIA handler he can't get out of his head.

He's just perfect
Jared is an average Buy More employee, super awkward and goofy, except he's not when he's manning a gun as member of Special Forces. Jensen is the gorgeous client that wants only to buy a charger, except he's hiding something too. Oh, and Chad is Jared's loud and geeky man-whore of a best friend.

Summary: Jared works at the BuyMore. It used to be pretty boring. Now? He has to defend the country from assassins, terrorists, and shoplifters. And it's all Jensen Ackles' fault.
Also, In Harm's Way is one of my favorite J2 fics ever- It's a very different tone from If I'm the Secret, Does That Make You The Agent?, but it's amazingly written and I highly recommend it!
