Big Bang Art recs
I love the collaborations between writers and artists that result from the Big Bang challenge (run by wendy and audrarose). The art is inspired by the words, and in turn adds another dimension to the stories themselves. These are a few of my favourite art pieces from this years Big Bang so far.
J2 Art
Artist: wanttobeatree
Art: here. The artist uses a variety of media that captures the development of the boys relationship in this brilliant fic. She particularly captures fleshflutter’s characterisation of Jensen and Jared so well. In the picture of the moment which is both hilarious and sweet of Jared presenting Jensen with the cushion, there is slight incredulity from Jensen, playful cheekiness from Jared and warm affection between them. The final picture of the kiss is just delicious too.

Art: here. I love the watercolour and coloured pencil header of Jared, Sandy and Jensen - their smiles are contagious. My other favourite is the one of Jensen giving into a pure Padalecki hug.
Story: "The Story of How We (*really*) Met" by paleogymnast
Artist: cathybites
Art: here The comic book style here fits perfectly with this playful geeky fic. It looks like the title card to an animated series I wish we could see!
Story: "Of Dice and Jen(sen)" by epeeblade
Sam and Dean Art
(only the first post contains a Wincest image)
Artist: yuanhua
Art: here Anime style illustrations that a strong on compositon. I love the book cover, with Sam looking at Dean and Dean looking the other way, illustrating the distance overcome between the boys in this story. There is also an R rated piece of Wincest that just blew me away. It’s not explicit but full of movement and sex. Love the view of Dean’s jaw, and his arm flung over his face.
Story: "What Remains" by walkawayslowly

Art: here (contains fic spoiler who could resist Dean and a puppy? ). I love the bold lines and colours here, and dreamlittleyo's use of texture makes you want to pet the dog’s fur - Dean’s hair!
Story: "Finding Home" by jassy3399
Artist: sazzlette
Art: here A wonderful series of sketches covering the two time periods the fic is set in - 1989 and 2007. I adore seeing young Dean and Sam, and the artist brilliantly captures the family in the third sketch - John is recognisable by his walk and the set of his shoulders, connected to both his boys, but while Dean looks up to him, even at this age Sma is looking in another direction. The final drawing of Sam in a suit is HOT!

Art: here Three sketches conveying such intense emotion. The last one of Dean comforting Sam moved me to tears - absolutely beautiful and powerful.
Story: "Counting Tuesdays" by forestgreen
Artist: gottalovev
Art: here I love the use of colour and space in these pictures that capture key moments in the story. The blue expanse gives that feeling of falling into the sky, that fits so well with the theme of the fic.
