A few recs for the holiday - some gen and het short stories, happy, funny, sweet, hot and touching in turns. Almost all new and posted this weekend, because it's been a good weekend for ficlets!

Vernal rites by zooey-glass04 [Dean, Sam, gen, 454 words, unrated but I'd estimate a PG]
A little Easter ficlet, touching and funny and it feels like canon.

On the Screws by sanyin [teen!Dean and teammates, gen, 764 words, again unrated and again around a PG]
It always makes me happy when Dean has a normal moment - here it's the exhilaration of a baseball game. I defy you to read the last couple of paragraphs and not smile happily for him.

the ragged edge of the universe by sanyin [Sam/Jess, PG, 436 words]
It's a quiet, soft sort of moment - beautiful.

And the Sun That Lights the Day by coffee_in_bed [Sam, Sam/OFC, Sam/Jess, Dean, R, 1,945 words]
This is all about Sam really, Sam and the ocean, and it's by turns sweet and heartbreaking and hot.

Miching Mallecho by innie-darling [Sam, Dean, gen, humour, 2,751 words, unrated so I'll guess a PG-13]
I'm not going to say much about this - I'll let you discover the cracked out premise for yourself. Just be careful - you might come away from it humming bad '80s music!

He Likes It Like This by iamentheos [Sam/Jess, NC-17, 1,065]
Sleepy early morning sex - lovely! I like it like this!

Stuck in Lodi Again by essenceofmeanin [Sam, Dean, gen, 742 words, PG/PG-13]
OK, cheating slightly, as I only found this story this weekend, but it's a little older than the others. A nice little Nightshifter coda, Sam and Dean trying to keep under the radar.

rec: pg, rec: r, rec: nc-17, rec: pg-13, rec: gen, rec: het
