Assorted recs with little or no theme

Sep 25, 2012 21:19

My computer has been out of action for a really long time, and so my recs for this month are a little bit haphazard, without any particular theme. Suffice it to say that I loved each story I've listed and I hope you do too:

The Adventures of Kangaroo Jack and his Trusty Sidekick Lemonhead, by weekend-exile

This is a poignant 'getting together' story about Jensen and Jared. Jared is head over heels for Jensen but Jensen is utterly clueless.

Gemini Ecliptic, by aletheo

the sequel to Gemini Rising. In a future where the Earth has been lost, and humanity has spread across our part of the galaxy, Jensen and Jared face an alien race which is utterly inimical to the human race. Unfortunately, they also face betrayal from within the ranks of humankind.

To See the World in a Grain of Sand, by belledewinter

Steampunk retelling of "Around the World in 80 Days." Jensen, Misha and Jared are racing to beat the clock, win a wager and save Jensen's reputation.

Love Lies Burning , by anniespinkhouse

Jared Padalecki is the CEO of a company with a reputation for ruthlessness. Jen is a homeless man who has an apparent fascination with both Jared and Padalecki Inc. Why is Jen cataloguing Jared's actions and who is the shadowy figure that's setting fires on Padalecki property?

Eldritch City, by beadslut

Jensen is an elf from out of town, and he's come to the big city on a quest. Nothing can prepare him for the experiences he's about to have. Fortunately, Jared decides to take him under his wing.

The Extra Light Switch, by checkthemargins

Jensen and Jared during the filming of Season 4, and then jumping forward to Season 8. Sometimes you don't actually see something that's right there, because you're too close to it.

As Though Nothing Could Fail, by kellifer_fic

Jared's a superhero, but he's not very good, and even his assigned sidekick seems to find him rather annoying. What's going on?

My Supernatural Smackdown, by gekizetsu

Delightful Spn/Scrubs crossover. JD is taking care of a seriously injured man. His brother won't tell him what his name is. Dr. Cox is... Dr. Cox, and then the vampires arrive.

Anywhere and Everywhere People, by beckaandzac

Sci-fi at it's most thought provoking. Jared receives Jensen as his own personal slave on his 16th birthday. He begins to perceive that the society he's always taken for granted might not be the paradise he grew up believing.

Talking Through a Different Face, by tebtosca

Single dad Jared and his little girl move into shared accommodation with some rather different and interesting people as their roommates. This is a cute, funny story with an interesting twist.
