"Why would you ever even think that, Dean."
Dean eyes Sam skeptically; the smile is too big, the eyes too amused. Sam is fucking with him. But it's possible he isn't, because Dean definitely got caught with Sam's toothbrush on the underside of the toilet seat.
"You didn't answer the question," Dean says, narrowing his eyes.
"I'm shocked and appalled you'd think I would stoop to that level," Sam grins.
"Did you or did you not spit in my beer?"
Sam laughs, head thrown back and loving this so much that he's attracting attention. Dean can't tell what would be worse; knowing, or not knowing. Or, whether he'd drink and not be able to tell whether or not he was drinking nasty gross brother-spit.
"You'd totally drink it anyway," Sam points out.
"So you didn't?"
"Whether or not I did doesn't matter, man. You're gonna drink it anyway. It's beer. Dumping it is just alcohol abuse - right

It'd been years and it felt just as easy as always. And just as hard. A crowded bar, a couple beers on the table between them, and Sam in research mode instead of checking out the blond at the bar that was making eyes at him. Dean let out a deep breath and took a long drink from his mug, letting the cool beer ease his worries

Must admit, most of the writing standard is quite high, and subsequently intimidating, see wimp as well. :(
