It's that time of the month again! \o/ Welcome back to the prompt-and-fill monthly feature here at the roundtable.
Each month, we will throw down a theme designed to span both SPN & RPF genres. We will then ask you, the participant, to prompt your fellow writers & artists with ideas, au tropes, lines of song/verse, a line of dialogue, word banks, some scene you are dying to read, etc.
After you've prompted, fill someone else's prompt! The idea is to stretch your mind as far as you need; to feel free to respond with any idea at all. It's a way to jog your creativity, to keep its action clicking in some small way.
Responses are completely open, so think wide broad and deep: a sentence, drabble, paragraph, 5k, fanmix, vid, painting, photo edit, macro, manip, icon set, stick figure comic, ms paint drawing, dialogue exchange, haiku, limerick, etc. would not be out of place here!
Previous challenges:
Prompt-and-fill #1: Truth & Lies.
Prompt-and-fill #2: 'Tis the Season!
Session #3: "On Our Way Home"

Likely one of the most loaded themes of Supernatural is the idea of “home” - whether the boys have one or not; whether they’re looking for one, or content as they are; whether they’re each others’; etc. In fandom, we have made a lot of homes for these boys, both in canon and rpf: Vancouver, Texas, LA, Lawrence, Bobby’s, the Impala, Stanford, Motel 6, Lisa's, each other, their soulmate slice in heaven someday <3
Homes can be temporary or permanent, can be found in a person or a place or an idea, can exist in reality, or as a wish, or as an endpoint on a journey. It can be something you decide to create with another person. A home can be so fulfilling you look for the feeling everywhere you go from that point forward; or it can be so disappointing - so opposite of what it should be - that you’re disinclined to trust anything else that even approaches the notion.
The word conveys many things but in a most ideal sense: peace, safety, trust, and faith. Home will always be there, home will always accept you, home will never let you down. Someone’s gonna be happy to see you when you get there.
A brief mix of songs about home, open for the month:
