It's not a canon shapeshifter but it is in the vein of being able to shapeshift into different forms so... Could also be described as animal transformation... Between Us by lady-krystal-79 Jared has the perfect life, but then things start to get interesting... J2, NC17
I swear this is the last rec for today! I'm sure if I go through my memories I'll find plenty more for a few different categories but not right now when I should be doing homework, lol.
Maygra's False Comforts AU is more than a bit dark but has multiple shapeshifters. READ THE WARNINGS, Rated Adult for good reason, Stories are complete but series may or may not be (doesn't specify if it will be continued)
I'm not sure if you'd put this story under "Other" or "Shapeshifters", but lexicale has a whole verse (that is ongoing) about werecats: Let Not the Sun Go Down Summary: In the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, against the edge of the churning Nantahala, there lives a pride of creatures called the ailure -- ailuranthropes, cats with the ability to take the shape of a man. Their alpha, Jensen, has suffered a great loss, and is losing his sense of self and his direction. Not too far from them, another werecat, a human-raised runaway named Jared, is still trying to understand who, and what, he is. Grief has the ability to tear us apart, tear us down, but the ability to climb our way back out is always there, and the desire to leave behind our burdens is more than merely human.
Hi, I have a werewolf fic in my journal but i think it's more like a shapeshifter or animal spirit. Jensen is a Pack Alpha of a wolf clan. He can transform at will but the idea is because he has a wolf soul/spirit inside of him. When the human calls it soul, the wolf clan calls it shwaha. Here's the link to masterpost.
