I don't know if it's the competition and rivalry heating up into something else, or the mental pictures of the boys in tight pants, or the interesting ways that characterization can be explored in a sports AU but whatever the reasons for its appeal, I can't get enough. These are some of my favorites! Thanks for sharing. (I don't read a lot of J2 but I'm a sucker for sports AUs!)

And that being said, you must consider Into his Hand and its sequel, by drvsilla!

This is a story I want to see the boys cast in. The atmosphere and language is so evocative - the characters are so real, and it's achingly good! And it's COWBOYS! \o/ or should I say, competitors on the Professional Bull Riding circuit?

Usually I don't even watch/keep up with sports and didn't think I'd be interested at all in these... but Topspin and Next Man Up are so good, and now I have it in mind to watch some football and tennis on TV... :D
