Dark Side of the Hunt [Post-6.14] When news of Sam and Dean's return to the hunt gets around, some old "friends" come back to find out what's going on. With Sam missing, Dean and Bobby race to find him before the rogue hunters do something to crumble the wall in Sam's mind. Theme: abuse; it features a tortured Sam who ends up having a massive Hell-seizure.
Ladder to the Stars [Post-6.22] "There is more than one way to destroy a human soul. Isn't that right, Sam?" Theme: psychological trauma; it features a Hell-traumatized Sam who has hallucinations and a very painful resurgence of his powers.
The Grief That Does Not Speak [post-5.10] More than anything, Sam didn’t think he could bear Dean realizing he was sick and not worrying. That would break him faster than anything Lucifer could ever do or say. Theme: Illness; features a miserable Sam with the flu also dealing with emotional trauma.
Out of the Darkness [5.04 AU] When Dean can't get a hold of Sam after his trip to the future, he finds his brother beaten
