Participant Rules for the Challenge

1. The matched-up pairing must produce either a co-written story or a Duet. See FAQ for more information.
A Duet is a story where the writers approach a similar theme, pairing, plot, from a different perspective. So if the pairings chose they can write the same story from a different POV or genre (fantasy, western, steampunk, crime). Or it could explore the relationship dyanmic of a threesome from different angles. It could also be a theme like homophobia, incest, loyalty, religion, adultery, etc. If the authors choose to write about a topic it has to be related to the other story. For example, this would not be acceptable: Dean following his father's orders and Castiel following his superior's orders, but the authors never compare the two situations or relate them farther than on the topic of obedience. Other than that it's really up to the pairing what they want to write about. If you have any concerns about what's acceptable, contact the mods.

2. Co- Written stories must be a minimum of 10,000 words. For those doing a Duet, each contribution from the author must be a minimum of 5,000 words.

3. The story can be slash, gen, or het. It must feature characters from either Supernatural or Supernatural RPS.

4. For RPS, anything goes for the main pairing as long as they have some affiliation with the show or the actors on the show.
ACCEPTABLE: Chris Kane/Steve Karlson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan/Jensen Ackles, or Jensen Ackles/Danneel Harris.
NOT ACCEPTABLE: Kris Allen/Adam Lambert.
ADDITIONAL: threesomes or moresomes are allowed as long as they follow the above guidelines

5. There are no restrictions on what the pairings choose to write, as long as it fits within the definitions of a co-written story or a duet.

6. You chose to co-write or a duet, you cannot do both. You will be matched by the mods based on preference.

7. You will be assigned a partner by the mods based on the questionnaire you turned in when you signed-up. Within reason, you will be given the chance to change partners if you do not like your assignment.

8. The authors will post links to their private journals, or if they so desire a comm setup for the challenge. A master post will be created at the end of the challenge. Journal entries must be public and unlocked.

9. Once you’ve received a final partner assignment on the 15th, you are free to contact your partner and work-out the details of what you want to do with them.
