It's time to Rock on, Dudes!

Tell us, what is your favorite song the show has used? Is there a song every time you hear it, it reminds you of the show and you have to crank the radio just a little bit louder?

Do you have a fanvid using that song or just a link to a YouTube video of the original artist(s) performing it that you would like to share? ( Read more... )

I did this in a story once and I think it would be hilarious. Queen Bohemian Rhapsody. A real Wayne's World moment. Actually... oh, oh. You're into Gabriel right? How about Gabriel traps the guys in a Rock opera??? Huh?

Bohemian Rhapsody would be hilarious, so would having them stuck in Rock opera, though I thin Dean would enjoy it!

Fav used: I'm torn between "Silent Lucidity" during the Madison/Sam love scene (freakin' hawt ::fans self::) and "Eye of the Tiger" and Dean's air guitar for the LOLZ.

Would like to see use? "I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls. Of course, the scene to go with it wouldn't be appropriate for prime time, bwahahaha. Or just about anything by MeatLoaf.

"Silent Lucidity" is a song my sisters and I used on a video we had made for my parents and my mom pulls out every year and watches (and cries) so I tend to get emotional over that one.

Eye of the Tiger is a classically great moment!

"Silent Lucidity" was when he had to shoot her; "Look at Me" by Screaming Trees was the love scene. Both were amazing scenes, and yes, the love scene was very hot!

For me, it's "Carry on Wayward Son". That song has become Supernatural, for me, and yes, I do crank up the radio every time I hear it! Love that song.

Yes. That song just means Supernatural, now.

Totally agree with that! Every time I hear those opening bars...it's *all* about SPN.

I just watched Nightshifter again, and it has my favourite song use in the whole series--at the end, when that Styx song plays. (Renegade?) Just made my heart go all YES.

Oh, and I also love when In A Gadda Da Vida plays in Skin. I love that.

YES! Renegade was, quite possibly, the best musical moment in scripted TV, ever, ever, and the best ending to an episode in the entire series. Or possibly any other.

I know, right?! Perfect way to end such an awesome, BAMF! episode. Still gives me goosebumps when I watch that ep.

Renegade was the perfect song to end that episode. The whole thing - editing, writing...everything - came together right there.

I love so many songs in this show, and I think they do it so well--always finding the right one to fit a scene.

I actually have a memorable scenes playlist, and for now I will post the link to the actual list, and when I have more time, I will put up a link for the zip file with all the songs attached.

Supernatural Memorable Scenes Playlist.

My rule said that the music had to be in the scene itself; it couldn't be over a recap (with the exception of Carry On My Wayward Son, of course). And it had to be a memorable scene. It couldn't be just any old scene with music.

If you want to check out my Top Musical Moments in Scripted TV tag, I have a bunch from SPN. Several videos were from the dearly departed MegaVideo, but I'm sure you don't need that--you can just play the scene in your head!
