I just watched Nightshifter again, and it has my favourite song use in the whole series--at the end, when that Styx song plays. (Renegade?) Just made my heart go all YES.

Oh, and I also love when In A Gadda Da Vida plays in Skin. I love that.

YES! Renegade was, quite possibly, the best musical moment in scripted TV, ever, ever, and the best ending to an episode in the entire series. Or possibly any other.

I know, right?! Perfect way to end such an awesome, BAMF! episode. Still gives me goosebumps when I watch that ep.

Renegade was the perfect song to end that episode. The whole thing - editing, writing...everything - came together right there.

I agree with your favorites wholeheartedly. When Renegade starts playing I crank it and think of how very screwed they were. Also In A Gadda Da Vida. I heard that when you stream the episodes on Netflix the music is gone. If that's true, I'm glad I found the show when I did. The music makes it magic.

All of this talk of "Nightshifter" and "Renegade", and I had to go back and re-watch it, on Netflix of course,and the music was there, at least on that episode.
