Glad you liked it! I've read this scene as a true story/vignette before, so I wondered if I could successfully capture the mood in a drabble. Dean's reaction to the eggnog made it plain that it was plenty potent!

Just a bit of behind the scenes trivia, I have heard somewhere that Jared in fact put alcohol into the drinks - a lot of alcohol! - and Jensen wasn't expecting it, so the reaction was 100% genuine :D

I love that fifty-fifty works for everything else bit, a very Sam bit of wisdom, explains Dean's face when he finally got to try the nog! 😂🥰 This is one of my most favourite episodes in the entire show, great choice for a Christmas DEW!

It's one of my favorites, too. I just melt at the flashbacks. Several years ago, I wrote a real tag to AVSC, "Last Bit of Christmas" over at fanfic if you're interested. I think I've watched AVSC about 5 times this season, between just wanting to watch Christmas stuff and then watching and rewatching the final scene to get the drabble right😁
