I need more than one baddy for this story, and Danneel has been given one of those titles. So if you don't like reading a story were she's the bad guy please don't read and then give me shit about awesome she is. This is a work of fiction, it in no way reflects on her character or the character of any actor/actress I may use. Just wanted to get that out the way. Anyway hope you enjoy the next part xx as always please review just so that I know someone out there is actually reading and enjoying what I write xx

When Jensen returned to the commune he felt lighter and happier than he could ever remember feeling in his entire life. It wasn’t only down to learning about the vampires and werewolves though, and boy had that been an eye opener. It would seem that father was rather misinformed about all things that were ‘the others’. From what he had learnt there were different kinds of vampires and werewolves. It would seem that some vampires could go out in daylight, whereas others sunlight would kill them, some werewolves could change shape at any time they wished, and into multiple animals, wolves, cats, even eagles. But weres’ that had tasted human blood could only change at the full moon, and whilst silver could cause great pain and weaken the werecreature, nothing in all of Jensens research could kill them, although his new friend, had implied that he had read in an ancient text when he was younger that another were could.

So he was smiling and happy when he walked down the main street, his brothers and sisters turned and stared at him. Seeing Jensen smile so brightly was a strange occurrence, they’d seen him smile, but never in this way. He walked to his home that he shared with his mother, and at one time his older siblings, she was busy baking humming a hymn, she smiled when she saw her youngest come in, felt the weight in her chest lighten some at the brightness of his eyes, it had been a long time since she had seen that light shine there, it was something that she thought she would never see again. Her sweet boy had dimmed dramatically ever since his ‘lesson’ that father had taught him at the tender age of 12. When he’d been brought to her after, beaten and bloody, she’d decided she was going to leave, take Jensen with her and get far away from father. But then Jensen had come down with a fever, one that had been so bad that it had very nearly killed him, and by the time Jensen was well enough to even think of travelling again, her anger had been replaced by fear, and she couldn’t find the strength to take her son and run. He still had the scars littering his back from the public flogging; it made her cringe with shame and self loathing whenever she saw them.

She came back from her dark thoughts when her beloved son hugged her tightly and kissed her cheek, his smile bright and eyes glittering like emeralds,
“What has you smiling so brightly?” she asked tenderly, stroking his cheek, he flushed, which made her smile wider, he’d always been so shy, any praise always making his cheeks burn red, he cast his eyes to the floor, his long lashes flush against the bright pink on his cheeks,
“I’ve just had a good day’’ he said quietly,
“Where have you been?” Jensen toyed with telling his mother the truth, he didn’t want to lie to her, had never in all his years been able to, he met his mothers eyes, eyes so like his own,
“I......well I....” he could feel the lie on the tip of his tongue, all he had to do was say the words, “I went into town to the library, and I made a friend, momma I made a friend!” Donna was shocked; her baby had left the commune, but he looked so happy, so she tramped down the voice in her mind telling her to shout at her son about evils out there, a voice that sounded much like fathers, and listened to her own voice, she smiled at him, saw his shoulders relax and the fear bleed away from his eyes, she laughed softly, he never had been able to lie, had always run in as a child, telling her he was sorry, he hadn’t meant to. It was then up to her to find out what exactly her smallest child had done. It was never anything truly bad, just childish mischief, she tucked a loose strand of his hair behind his ear,
“A friend?” he nodded, his long bangs falling in his eyes, his blonde hair shining like a halo,
“Yes momma, his name’s Jared, and he taught me so much!”
“What did he teach you about baby?”
“About ‘the others’, momma there’s so much we don’t know, they aren’t all evil, there are some that are good,’’ fear grabbed hold of her again, if father learnt about this her child would be in danger, she gripped his face,
“Jensen, listen to me, you can’t do that again! Do you know what would happen if father found out?! I’m glad you made a friend, and I wish, oh baby I wish you could keep him, I’ve never seen you so happy, but promise me, you won’t do that again!” Jensen swallowed, his eyes stinging with tears, he nodded,
“Okay momma, I promise” she hugged him close, her throat closing around the pain and disappointment making her chest tighten, she wished things could be different, but they weren’t and never would be, not while father had his grip held onto to them all so tightly. And it was better that Jensen have this moment of pain, than have to go through what he had at 12 ever again.
“Now, you go get washed up, father wants to see you before supper’’ he nodded, his shoulders slumped in defeat,
“Okay.’’

By the time Jensen has washed and changed into clean clothes father is sat at the kitchen table, his white bible held loosely on his lap, he’s wearing a white loose shirt and brown pants, with Jesus sandals. His long blonde hair hung lose about his face, and hanging on his shoulders. He turns his blue eyes to Jensen and stands smiling softly. A chill runs up Jensens’ spine as father opens his arms wanting a hug,
“Hell son’’ he says quietly, Jensen steps away from the embrace as soon as he can,
“Hello father’’, father smiles, the blue in his eyes is cold and hard,
“Katie came to see me today; she said she was worried about you, some nonsense about us marrying our brothers and sisters? Are your demons that once plagued you returning son?’’ the gesture of cupping Jensens cheek is meant to be caring, but the touch makes Jensen flinch, shaking his head in denial, Jensen tried to answer in as clear a voice as possible
“No father’’ he swallowed hard, his throat closing “I was confused, so I went by the stream and read my scriptures, I see now how I was wrong, God answered my prayers.’’

Father narrowed his eyes and searched Jensens for the lie he was sure was there, but his eyes were clear if a little fearful, still he found nothing there but the truth. He nodded and smiled, patting Jensen jovially on his shoulder,
“That’s good son, I hate it when I have to discipline my children’’ Jensen nodded, he never wanted to be disciplined ever again.

“Momma said you wanted to see me?’’ father clapped his hands together and led him over to the small couch in the den,
“Ah yes, but this is man talk’’ he said winking at Jensens mother “we’ll just let your momma get back to what she does best hmmm?” Jensen heard his momma giggle, it seemed to please father and he let himself be sat in the couch,
“What is it father?’’ Father grinned,
“I have found you a wife son. She’s a fine woman, will bear you many children, and make you both a wonderful home’’
“A wife?’’ Jensen squeaked, “Err....who exactly?’’ he thought of all the young women in the commune, he didn’t want to marry any of them. There had been some who had tried to get his attention, he just wasn’t interested.
“Danneel’’ father said proudly “She is a fine woman Jensen, why if I wasn’t father to you all I’d marry her myself, in fact’’ he leant towards Jensen and whispered as if sharing a secret “I’ll wager there’s quite a nice body under those dresses of hers!”
“Father!” Jensen blushed, making father laugh loudly, he clapped his hands together and stood,
“Then it is sorted, you and Danneel will marry exactly one month after you turn 18’’
“But father that’s only 3 months away’’
“The sooner you’ll be able to become a real man huh?’’ he winked making Jensen blush at the implication of consummating his marriage, and to that Danneel girl, of all the young women there were father had to choose her. Danneel was pretty, there was no doubt about that, but she was also vapid, and hard to talk to about anything that involved thought. She was a sheep, and Jensen wanted more than that, he wanted someone he could talk to, discuss things with, someone who could make him laugh, smile just by looking at him, and he knew that Danneel would never ever fill those requirements. His thoughts strayed to a tall man with bright hazel eyes, dimples in his cheeks and a blinding smile, he smiled softly, he knew what he wanted, he just had to be brave enough to go out there and get it.

Father saw the soft smile on his sons lips, and smiled, the match was a good one, and Danneel would be a good match for the boy, she’d also be willing to tell father everything. She was easy enough to manipulate, and if father played his cards right, he could have a taste of the girl before she consummated her marriage. Smiling widely he left the small house. Things were looking better than ever, and there was nothing and no-one to stand in his way.

For the past month Jared had watched and waited patiently for a smaller blonde man wearing a felt hat to come shuffling shyly into his library, and for the past week he’d been left disappointed, so it was with shock, but a sense of glee that he looked up and saw the young man looking around the library nervously. He smiled brightly, just watching the young man as he shuffled from foot to foot.
“Hey Romeo, your boyfriends here?’’ Chris snickered at him; Jared sent his friend a scowl,
“Shut it Kane’’
“Oh dude’’ Chris clutched a hand to his chest “You cut me deep man’’ he grinned when Jareds scowl deepened “Go on my little padawan, seek out your one true love’’, he laughed when Jared walked past him, smacking him upside the head as he went.

“Hey Jensen’’ he said quietly, not wanting to startle his young friend, Jensen looked up, his green eyes sparkled and a bright smile lit his face up,
“Hey Jared’’
“I didn’t think you were going to come back’’ he whispered, he touched his fingers to Jensens’ smooth cheek and smiled when the mans’ eyes fluttered close as he leaned into the touch,
“I wasn’t going to, my momma said I shouldn’t, but I...I wanted to come back, to see you again’’ Jareds grin widened even more, so much so that his cheeks were starting to ache,
“I’m glad you did’’ a look of sorrow crossed Jensens face, his eyes opened and he met Jareds gaze,
“I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to get away though, father has a marriage planned for me’’
“A marriage? To who?’’, Jareds gut clenched, a sense of possessiveness came upon him and all he wanted to do was hold the man to him, and keep him close, forever.

“To a young woman from the commune, she’s called Danneel, she’s the same age as me’’
“Do you want to marry this girl?’’ Jared asked, a hard edge coming to his voice, he wanted to reign it in, but he was jealous, it had taken him two weeks to accept that Jensen although a friend was also so much more, and always would be, to think that this girl would get to touch him how he wanted was making him want to rip the unsuspecting female to shreds. Jensen lowered his eyes at the harsh tone, although Jareds fingers were still holding onto him softly, almost chaste,
“Well do you?’’ Jared asked softly, Jensen shook his head, it wasn’t about what he wanted, nothing about the commune was ever about what the people wanted, it was all about what father wanted, and father always got what he wanted. ALWAYS.

“It isn’t that easy Jared, what I want, what Danneel wants? We have to obey our father or we’ll be punished, he’ll assume we’ve been possessed by demons and I....’’ his breaths quickened as he remembered the burn of the whip as it tore into his sensitive young skin. He felt himself be picked up, felt the air move about him, Jared was holding him tight against his chest whispering comforting words, when Jensen had calmed some he noticed they were in a small room, with a desk, a computer and some other furniture,
“I can’t go through that again, I’ll die next time, I know I will’’ he whispered as tears fell down his cheeks. Jared tilted his chin so their eyes were meeting,
“Again?’’ he asked quietly,
“When I was 12, I questioned father about something and he said I was possessed, that a demon had taken hold of me and that it needed to be driven from me before it could pollute the rest of the commune. I was starved for a month, given only water and kept in darkness. Then when I was so delirious from lack of food I was taken out to the square and whipped. I nearly died, but father said that the demon was gone and I was saved, I just......’’ he looked to Jared pleadingly, his eyes asking that he understand. Jared was horrified, speechless, how could anyone do that, and to a child, and all because he asked a question that the bastard didn’t like. Jensen was watching him, his eyes shimmering with the tears that kept pooling in them, in that moment he had never wanted to kiss someone so much in all his life. So he cupped the smooth cheeks, tilted Jensen head slightly and touched his lips to the mans’ in front of him. It was perfect, it was soft and warm, it was everything he had ever wanted, it was home.
