I'm really not seeing the rage to be honest. Disney owns a lot of stuff and doesn't make it Disneyfied. Touchstone Pictures for example was created so that Disney could produce films that wouldn't be appropriate for the Disney logo and acquiring Marvel seems to be the print version of that.
Marvel has a demographic that Disney doesn't go for with its core brands so turning Marvel into 'Disney-with-attitude' doesn't make much sense from a marketing perspective - and there's nothing that Disney do better than marketing.
I guess we'll see how it turns out but I don't see Hannah Montana/Wolverine crossovers being very likely.

Just a shame they bought it 15 years too late to get Groo. Somehow Groo as a disney character just doesn't work in an entertaining way.
