Out of the blue I was asked for an interview about my time working on an old GW game called Gorkamorka. You can read it here should you be so inclined.

It was odd to be tagged for something I worked on almost fifteen years ago and for which I was a very junior member of the team. Still, the guy who runs that site was appreciative.

We released the little guy into a nearby garden just after dark. He shuffled into the deeper recesses of a tree and stayed there and he was pretty mobile in trying to get out of the box and wriggling out of our hands. We checked his wings and they appear to be ok, no sign of damage or injury so he probably just needs to destress and eat something./

On my way out the door this morning to my first day of work for nearly two months, I found a little bat on the pavement. He was laid on his back with his wings rolled up around him and at first I thought he was dead, after a (gentle) exploratory prod with my sunglass arm revealed him to be very much alive I scooped him up and took him to work in ( Read more... )

Dawn is back in the UK this week and so I'm having a quietish weekend by myself. There's a mediaeval re-enactment going on of a siege on the city walls which has been quite fun, various living history bits and pieces set up around the walls as well as falconry displays and the like. After the excitement of my party and birthday, I expected this week to be a more relaxed affair. That hasn't been the case though as we've managed to be reasonably social throughout.
