So as most people probably have seen, Riku will be killed in this week’s mongoose massacre. Unfortunately for him (and most likely for everyone who gets themselves involved into following plot) his death and following revival has a few more consequences than just getting his soul/heart ripped out of his body and tortured for a while…

I realized that Luke's current attempts to understand his own identity as separate from Asch's might be good manipulation fodder... Luke's main weakness in this regard is he probably won't recognize manipulation attempts so long as they're fairly subtle. Or one of his friends doesn't notice and point it out to him/counter Ansem's points.

And Luke would probably notice a strange new hooded guy after a little while skulking around and be curious. I think. If you need any volunteers in that category.

Fffh, well Ansem is not going to parade around as Riku - he knows he can’t keep up the charade for long, especially not with Mickey around. The fact that Luke is a LE officer might make him go after him though, he is more likely to prey on people that Riku already interacted with on some level.

Ansem is not a mind reader - he can’t see any of his memories - what he can do, is high jack Riku’s sense to ‘smell’ the light and the darkness, and pinpoint the balance within his heart and the emotions attached to that. Ie. He will be able to tell that Luke is feeling worried and guilty, but he won’t have any idea about the why (which is why he is going to emulate Riku and become ceiling Ansem for a while, so if there any conversations you don’t mind him listening into regarding to that, please point them out to me. |D;)

Guilt bonding is the best kind of bonding and it totally has to happen!

As for meeting the strange, new guy around the block, I think we'll be able to arrange that. 8D

As far as manipulation material is concerned, he has fears of not being able to come back home alive and what he thinks is its consequence of leaving his world unprotected, as well as guilt from not telling either of his closest friends that he plans on leaving the city. He hasn't shared this with anyone yet, but if Ansem can mind-read or jump into people's heads somehow, feel free to use it against him!

A big YES on the suspicion of the suspicious cloaked Sephiroth! figure! Some random guy skulking around the place after the CSI: Splendor/Darkov event/LE recruitment is definitely going to show up on his radar.

I’D love to have him, especially since Ansem has no idea what he is doing anyways but he’s a scientist, so if it doesn’t fit, he’ll make it fit, so… >.>;;;

Ansem has no mind reading powers, but his heart reading powers are sorts of a bit stronger than Riku’s. While Riku is able to about tell the balance of light and darkness in a heart, he hasn’t really mastered the empathic aspect of the power yet. Ansem on the other hand, can tell what exactly the emotions attached to that darkness are. So he’ll be able to tell that Trunks is feeling guilty and fearing something, but unless he dropped any kinds of hints towards Riku on that, he has no idea why that is.

Well, I suppose it would be sorts of the opposite of Riku's - since I think I remember we established in one of their first threads that Riku's ki seems slight altered by Ansem's, I suppose it would be now be the other way around: Ansem's being dominate with Riku's as some sort of interference.

Oh hello this is like the latest post ever but-

Yes, I think this sounds really exciting. And if you don't have a heart of darkness lined up, the prince in his raven's blood possessed state is probably a good candidate? Also, the Raven Prince likes planning on insecurities, too, albeit toward a different end (stealing the hearts), and he's basically... some of this gets into headcanon, but he's kind of the Prince's opposite, wanting all love for himself and running on insecurity and pain from the prince's heart.

However, it could backfire... The Prince's heart is corrupted, but if someone (probably Rue but I still need to talk to her mun) can get to him with the Power of Love, it'd send things off track.

So... I don't know exactly what Ansem would want, but some kind of villainous team-up? Even if it's really just Ansem taking advantage of the Prince.

Also, sorry... Half of that information is probably irrelevant to what you were thinking, so just... ignore what you don't need. xD;
