[Roxas is sitting on a rock not too far from the Gilded Castle and no longer has his hood over his face. He's found a large box of ice cream bars and is currently eating one, but they weren't sea-salt flavored. It's just isn't the same

[MAN IT IS HELLA BREEZY TODAY.

...well, it's really probably not, but. gentle breezes are bad enough when gravity isn't a huge factor on a little body. chey has been trying to get back to aesop lane for the past...two hours, but he's really at the whims of the wind today.

he's got the corners of his cape in hand, pushed along like a little boatless sail, drifting along until the breeze stops again and he can land. the key around his neck goes clink on the cobbles before his feet hit. he settles to his knees, feeling the ground for something to cling to while he gets his bearings before his peripherals pick up...

oh.

chey peers over at the large person on the rock not far away. oh...]

[His attention had been drawn to him as he saw him gliding down the street. He blinks a few times. He'd never seen anyone like him before.

Still, from the way he was having problems getting up it looked like he might be in trouble. He didn't want to make the same mistake he had with Tinker Bell again.

Roxas doesn't get up from his seat when he speaks.]

Uhh... Do you need some help?

[chey continues to gawk well past the question. so far, the only people that have acknowledged chey even existing, let alone having difficulties, have been been kidnapped like him. most of which had seals. that...would be most ideal, especially since everything roxas just said came back as gobbledygook to chey.

but that's a problem. how is he supposed to know or even ask?

welp.

chey straightens a little, pointing very pointingly at roxas.]

[...This really was a lot like what happened with Tinker Bell. Looks like he has to handle the talking, then?]

...Y-yeah, I can do something if you need it.

Why're you so sad?

[He'd been exploring, naturally, when he'd noticed Roxas sitting alone all sad-like. And since it's Sora, he doesn't like to see anyone sad. So now he's standing next to Roxas, wooden sword in hand.]

Huh?

[He still wasn't sure what was safe to tell people. This kid seemed pretty harmless, though. He felt kind of familiar for some reason, actually.]

...I can't get out of here so I can't fix anything.

[He frowns, then moves to sit next to Roxas.]

...Well, if you can't get outta here, you should have fun while you're here.

[He looks a bit sadly at his half-eaten ice cream bar.]

I don't really know how I can do that now.

[Hmmm, what are these weird cold things in this box? Here's Ammy, having seemingly popped out of nowhere, investigating the box of ice cream without so much as a second glance at Roxas.]

[He's a bit surprised when he notices her. He observes her for a moment, trying to figure out what she might want.]

...You want some ice cream?

[xanotherdreamx]

[He looks surprised to see her and is especially so when she approaches him. Roxas still didn't know what he was safe telling her. He looks away from her and scratches the back of his head with his free hand.]

I dunno, I just... want things to get back to normal, I guess.

[He frowns darkly as he tries to come up with the quickest and safest way to explain this.]

It was the group that was using me to collect hearts. None of them would really explain anything to me. I thought I had friends... or, a friend there [That was a weird slip up...], but even that was wrong.

[Having her own worries to think about, Zelda isn't perceptive enough to catch on to Roxas' gloominess quite yet. In fact, her gaze seems to be more focused on the castle behind him for the time being, despite the fact that she is approaching to speak with him.]

Pardon me, but are you a resident of this castle?

[There certainly were a lot of... interesting people around here. He wasn't used to all of this yet, especially the fact that he wasn't trying to hide from them.]

Uhh, yeah.

Wonderful! It seems we are going to be living together for now, so- [she pauses to curtsey politely] I am Princess Zelda, of New Hyrule. It is a pleasure to meet you.

Oh...

[He hesitates before nodding his head in return very awkwardly. Princesses were supposed to be important people, right?]

Yeah, nice to meet you, too. I'm Roxas.
