It's surprising how fast three months can pass in a place like this. One would think with how many unusual effects can be used as landmarks, it wouldn't be difficult to keep track of time.

Now that so many of us are here, we should spend some time catching up. Let's meet up somewhere, and have an afternoon together?

The months do drag onwards, don't they? How long have you been here now? Has it only been three months?

Actually I was thinking that they went by too quickly. Looking back on the last three months at home, so much had happened. It makes me wonder what I've missed since then.

Actually, I've heard that there's something of a time paradox upon arriving in this place. People that have returned home and then returned here have reported that time back home had utterly stopped for them while they were in Splendor.

Though I can't help but wonder what it's cutting out of our life spans to exist here for so many months.

[ he sounds pensive ]

I wonder if that has anything to do with the way it brings people from different versions of the same world.

I'm not worried about that part.

A second home, this place? I believe there's a term for that...

The excess of oddities become rather unremarkable.

So you're saying everything here is mundane?

That would be an exaggeration, though mundanity is subjective.

Nearly everything is subjective, although from watching others' reactions, most people are continually surprised by the things that happen here.

Yes.

[Moving on:] As long as I know when to be where, I will be. Unless you were interested in spending time with your schoolmates, instead.

LOL that's okay! It'll come back to you! grimreaping March 8 2011, 17:45:12 UTC
Of course you're welcome to come, Professor. As soon as we have something resembling a plan, I'll make sure everyone knows the details. Is there anywhere you have in mind?

You remind me of how long I myself have been here.

[she sounds a bit weary, but constant, as she smiles with her voice]

No, I could never truly say that about this place. There are so many opportunities here that..I will never experience again back home.

I agree that we'll all be a little richer for having been here.
