[If you happen to be a resident of the Arborn Castle, you may take note of a sweet and delicious scent that wafts down the hall. Inviting and perhaps it will spark your curiosity enough to make you wander from wherever you are, causing you to venture down to the kitchen. There inside is a busy Gilbert Nightray. He's standing at the kitchen counter

Pardon me were you perhaps planning on dressing as Santa Claus?

[Startled. Oh! He didn't know that there was someone else in the kitchen with him. He instantly turns around to see Natalia.]
I-I... Uhm no. I wasn't. I was just trying to find out as much information about Christmas as possible because my master is now here at Splendor. We haven't celebrated Christmas before so I suppose you could say this will be a first.

Really? It will be for me as well! How wonderful! I was wondering what sort of things one makes during this time of year..

Ah, th-that's okay really! You don't have to apologize.
[There's a slight pause.]
You can come read this book too if you want. It's very informative and gives a lot of details on Christmas and it's festivities.

Gilbert had his back to him as he hovered over the counter, leaving the precious trays vulnerable and ready to attack. Quietly, Oz snuck over and began piling cookies into the makeshift carrier he made with the bottom of his shirt. So what if that meant it had become untucked? For cookies, sometimes there had to be sacrifices.]

O-Oz! You're going to end up burning your hands! Those cookies are still hot!
[And without a second thought, Gilbert retrieves a small plate from the cupboard and holds it out to him with a bit of a sigh.]
If you're going to take some, then use the plate instead of dirtying up your shirt.

They're really good Gil! [Praise from already cookie crumb speckled lips. His shirt isn't in a much better state either.] Isn't this a little excessive though?

[Blushes.]
Thanks. And I baked so much because I didn't know which ones you'd like the most. There's so many different recipes.

Oh, Echo. Come in. Welcome to Arborn castle.
[Opens the door so she can come inside.]

Thank you for the invitation, Master Gilbert...
[she catches whiff of the cookies, and directs her attention towards the kitchen. she dare not comment on it though; it's really none of her business to ask. it's probably servants at work anyway.]

[He gestures for her to follow him as he walks to the kitchen after he closes the door behind her.]

So when she walks into the kitchen and sees the ridiculous amount of cookies set out on the table, she just has to rush over to them and go to grab at one. ]
Whoa! Look at all of these cookies!
[ Feel free to stop her if you like -- she would really like one, though. ]

Ah, th-thats!
[He stops himself and glances at all of the cookies. Well, it wouldn't hurt if he allowed others to have one or two. He could always make more and there was an overwhelming amount of them already.]
That's alright, you can go a head and have some.

Putting one of the cookies in her mouth, and holding the other two in her hands, she shuffles over to the book of Christmas recipes he's got open and looks at it.
Then she tries to speak with the cookie in her mouth, so it may be a bit hard to understand. ] Wha's 'dis foar?

I'm baking cookies for my master Oz. All of these are for him. You see, we've never celebrated Christmas before. Back in our world, there was a lot of horrible things going on, but now... Now everything is a lot different. More peaceful. And so I-I want to make this Christmas the best I can for him. Because he deserves it.

Why not? It's only going to be for a day, and the costume makes the man!

So, what is this Christmas? I see a lot of decorations and cookies, but there's something more, isn't there?

It's based on a historical religious day. The birth of Christ as Christians call it. And well, it's like a big birthday in a way. There's a lot more to it than that though. A-And people of other faiths have similar holidays.
