One of my best documented nervous tics is that my feet are constantly moving. In college I was the guy who shook the entire row of seats in the lecture halls because my legs were bouncing. So, Agents of Atlas is one of the best comics on the stands. As I've mentioned before, their initial miniseries is the story of a bunch of Marvel (or, as they were known then, Atlas) characters from the 50's banding together to fight a great evil from their heyday. Four FANTASTIC things in this week's comics:

1) Cyclops' masterstroke against Norman Osborn (Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Exodus). I love it when Marvel plays up the fact that Cyclops is the greatest strategic mind in the Marvel U when Steve Rogers isn't around. Bendis nailed that in House of M when the heroes turned to Scott for leadership. ( Read more... )

Huh. A week after Disney bought Marvel, Warners is massively restructuring DC. The current president of the company is even stepping down into a writer/contributing editor role. This is HUGE. And I have to assume that this is largely because of Disney/Marvel.

These are weird times in the comic industry.
