Finished Inazuma Eleven DS 3 on Saturday afternoon and I ended up finishing up some stuff on Tales of Vesperia PS3 as well. ^^; I wish it was as easy to farm grade on the other Tales games. I ended up with 300 extra points I didn't use in my ex-game.

How do you like Vesperia's story? The Japanese people who ranked it low said the story is the shittiest thing ever. And then, counter-comments to that are YOU SHOULDN'T BE EXPECTING A GOOD STORY FROM TALES TO BEGIN WITH! THAT'S NOT WHY WE PLAY TALES!!!

but LOL I AGREE WITH THE COUNTER-COMMENTS mostly. That's definitely NOT why I play Tales. Since when did Tales have anything hugely ground-breaking when it came to story anyway, it's not trying to be something like TWEWY or the Star Ocean series :x ~ I did enjoy the story in this one though, it really doesn't move HUGELY anywhere at ANY point (like all Tales stories imo), but it does have a cohesive story like other Tales games, and the characters overall are probably my favorite along with some of the Abyss ones and bit in Rebirth.

I did give this game a full 10 score on my gaming blog though, namely because of how much I was ABLE to enjoy it as an action RPG. I HATE the loading times in the PS2 games, farm grading doesn't take FOREVER in Vesperia, good graphics, and just overall how fun it was to play. And it was FUN because of how smooth everything was. Nothing really story-wise.

I do have a PS3 now. Only played SSF4 so far though, currently on Fire Emblem new game+ on the Wii.

That's why I was wondering whether to get Vesperia or not. I guess I'll get it after all.

You mentioned Star Ocean. But that Star Ocean isn't exactly known for story either. In fact, the story in 3 and 4 were slammed by the fans.

Oo yay PS3~
Vesperia has a really slow start (well pretty much all Tales games do for me), but after you get past those basic hurdles, it's totally fun <3 ~~~~ do you ever check the guides or such for all the sub-events in the tales games?

I heard that about Star Ocean too, although I was with a friend last summer who absolutely loved Star Ocean 1 and 2 and she did slam 3's story quite a bit. I don't think she even knew about 4 back then either. I'm thinking about getting SO4 but I'm also wondering if the price will drop below the $40 it is now XD

Zenjirou looks too similar to Ryou (LOL) and Digi-Xros is still a weird concept to me-like they're building on jogress evolution from 02...

Is it sad that I would consider Lost Evolution only for the allies of the main character? They remind me of the Adventure cast a bit. Or the designs on the website do.

Xros Wars looks promising...Aside Taiki's ability to do a septuple axel in mid-air to make a dunk (at his height! TK'd be shocked) only to feint and pass to a classmate, I liked episode 1. Taiki and his friends must be the first group to not realize they've been taken to another world right away, right?
