After that two-step travesty, I'm not entirely sad to see Kherington go... She's good, but I dunno... She just does nothing for me. I'm rooting for Katee or Twitch. Ok, I know Twitch has no chance of winning, doesn't matter.
My bet with Jessica was a bit lower than a broken rib. A lot of the stunts the dancers do would be bad for a pregnant woman. Of course, it could also be an internal organ thing and she just didn't want to have to explain it. Or, she is faking.

Hmm, interesting theory! If Jessica hadn't specifically mentioned the tour, I might be more inclined to agree with you about a possible pregnancy. As it is, saying she is withdrawing from the competition is true by itself, but saying she is going on tour is an unnecessary and untrue detail if that were the case. It may be exactly as it's being presented, but there's still something slightly "off" about it all, IMHO.
And yeah, the two-step was "blah." Honestly, Kherington's whining about the judges hating her and then not even doing well in her own style in the 2nd routine makes me think she was getting worn out. It would be nice if they could put a week in the middle, right as they get to the Top 10, to give the dancers a chance to rest and rejuvenate a little.
i KNOW, right? Personally, I'm so sad that Gev went instead of Mark. I think Kherington suffered from being Mark's partner. And he did nothing FOR her. Plus his solo was wack [though - honestly, hers was too]. Anyhoo, Gev's solo last night was phenomenazing and he shoulda stayed. He's not the awesomest dancer on the show, but definitely more awe-inspiring than Mark [who I used to love, but it's coming down to a few and somebody's got to go].
I heard a rumor that Jessica was preempted by Comfort for ratings...But for real - how can you beat the Katee/Will pairing? Words. fail.
Mark has done really well up to this point, but as I said above, he and Kherington were both off this week in a major way. Personally, Comfort has done nothing for me, and I know a fair number of people feel that way on forums like _sytycd_, so I can't imagine she is a major ratings draw over Jessica, I would think that's just a rumor floating around. Frankly, I would have been much more interested in getting Kourtni L. or Rayven back, ladies who never had much chance to "step up" with another partner, which Comfort did (Chris, then Thayne). Blergh, someone pointed out that Comfort now officially ties with Sara from last year if she gets eliminated next week. *shudder* That just shows how great last season was, Sara is WAY better than Comfort by a gazillion miles.
I totally agree, though, Gev was a good guy and did a very respectable job, especially in his solos. I saw in one of the _sytycd_ threads where someone admitted they have a bias against b-boys and hip-hop dancers, it's not something they relate to and have a hard time getting past for
