The downside to working from home is that there are no such thing as sick days. Just days when you sneeze on your keyboard. Weirdly, I'm being very productive despite the uck.

Yesterday, for no apparent reason, I could not connect my development environment to my DB. I think it had to do with installing some service patches and resetting some preferences. Somehow when I updated my computer it removed all the administrator permissions from my programs, meaning some of my development tools were failing in spectacular and opaque ways. I've found the error, but that was time I would have preferred to have spent, I don't know, actually working.

Grump.

When I get stressed I nerf electronics. Everything around me just goes kafluie. And anything with my name on it disappears into the ether.

I write and maintain complex applications for dozens of clients. Software hundreds of employees and thousands of clients depend on every day.

Have I ever mentioned how annoying that little confluence can be?
