Definitely not a movie that you'd come out of the cinema being all OMGDIDYOUSEETHATEFFINGCOOLSCENE??!! and proceed to talk about it for days...but if you did not leave the hall with a big goofy smile on the face and a warm fuzzy feeling, then you have no heart. NO. HEART.

I couldn't, and still can't, bring myself to watch Australia. But I've never liked Baz Luhrman anyway.

Haven't seen Slumdog yet. It's something I'll get out on video. Theatres for the special effects blockbusters and DVD rentals for dramas/arthouse films. I'm cheap!

But Australia (the country)was thrilled about the movie no? After watching it, it really felt like one mighty lengthy tourism ad. Australia (movie :P) made me suspect that Baz Lurhmann can only do one type of genre well...musicals.
