It was him. It really was.
Tom finally let out a cold, cruel laugh. The kind of laugh that he always had especially used for Harry.
"Harry Potter. ." Tom spoke in barely a whisper, "You're here, too. No world seems to be keeping you safe forever, you know. I wonder how easy you'll find it to escape me when there's no Dumbledore to protect you anymore. No foolish Muggle mother to save you either, is there, Harry?"

It was almost as if he could see right into Harry's most darkest thoughts; as if he could probe his mind as if it were a mere toy.
"I'm almost sorry it's going to be this easy to kill you, Harry. No chance of you to stand and fight like your father did, either. But then again, you know what became of him don't you?"
His lit wand pointed at Harry now, the light gleaming a mixed green due to the Mark still hovering over them both.

"I wouldn't want to disappoint your expectations if that was the case. I'm going to let you run tonight, Harry Potter. You're going to run with this reminder burned into you: you'll never fully escape Lord Voldemort. Even if you travel to another world I'll find you. And now. ."
Tom's wand suddenly flicked, a non-verbal motion to call forth the Cruciatus curse upon Harry's body. It would be pain beyond imagination for those brief seconds. Pain that had driven people insane, even.
"Remember, Harry. You're not safe. After tonight you will become my entertainment. Run, Harry. Run along and hide. I'll find you and give you more pain. ."
Dispelling the curse as suddenly as he inflicted it, Tom suddenly turned and vanished into the night.
For Tom and Harry, this would only spell out a series of more encounters to come.
