Help!

Are there any Photoshop users out there? I'm struggling horribly trying to do a banner for a web site using it. I'm trying to take a bunch of photos and blend parts of them together so that one image blends with the next and so on. I can't figure out how to do it.

Help!

Or more precisely, please let me know if I can ask you questions about

What I'm trying to do is take a set of photographs and take bits from each and assemble them into another image (an 800x90 banner). I want the images from one to blend into the images from the next. It can be as simple as purely horizontal blending from one to the next.

I am suspecting that it has something to do with transparency, but that's as far as I've gotten. Is there a particular tool I should be using, a specific technique, ???

Any help and/or hints would be greatly appreciated!

Haven't worked with Photoshop...but...did run across the LJ of a friend/roomate of yours, her LJ name is ertla. I hope she no longer has the "dryer" problem from her days at the rodent farm.

Photoshop is one of the tools of my trade. Ask away.
