Send hate mail to connallyte5@yahoo.com. Freaking idiot somehow got ahold of my credit card number, address and phone number and they bought the domain http://www.stineline.com under my name. Thankfully, ipower.com, the domain name merchant that they got the domain name from, called my cell ( Read more... )

Whoa!
I'm so glad you caught it fast and are able to recover easily from such a rotten situation.

okay, well
-guilty look-
I didn't quite get to the sending of the email part....jsut because when I got into hotmail and was going to send one I suddenly got paranoid -concerned and sincere face- that these identity theft people are really techno-savvy and that maybe they could trace my information through the email I sent them and would get back at me by messing up my stuff too!

(I know, I'm a dork. :P hehe)

Good thing you caught it before it got out of hand. If you haven't done so already, you ought to pull your free annual credit report next month just in case he opened up any new credit cards in your name.

Well, I don't really have credit at all. The card number he used is actually just my debit card from my bank, but since it has a Visa symbol on it, it also can be used as a credit card if I need to make an online purchase or something like that, and it just charges my bank account. So... I don't know if a credit report would actually say anything for me.

You can't be too careful. My mom had a couple credit cards opened in her name and all the thief had was my mom's bank account number.

I think it's Dutch? Anyway, I still haven't come up with anything to say to whoever it is, and I'm not sure it's worth the effort, anyway. :/

Yeah, whatever. I don't think it'd be worth my time. I already have to spend time tomorrow on the phone with my bank, getting a new card issued to me. -_-
