Hi I'm bored too so perhaps we can keep each other entertained for a bit. Hm...tipping for services I feel is nice and a bonus but not everyone expects it. I tip my hairdresser what I feel comfortable doing. Usually about 5 to 10 dollars for a job very well done. That's just me though...if they really wanted to ensure a fat bonus then whey don't they just charge more...?

Citizenship = money? Wow. Aren't we all about big business. If we just let everyone move here and get citizenship without any hoops then we'd probably knock out our deficit :)

yup u gotta pay for the privilege of applying to live here whether you are accepted or not. all up i think i have paid at least $2000 for the entire process and i didn't hire a lawyer or anything. it is a pretty lengthy and complicated procedure so a lot of people do hire lawyers so i imagine that they pay a heck of a lot more than i did.

i tipped my hairdresser $7, it was only a $25 haircut (no blow dry). that is ok right?

I wouldn't worry too much about bearing your arms (heh) - that's about a military draft...and if they start a draft in this country, all the rich bitches will put up a huge stink and the war will end in like 3 hours. So I wouldn't worry.

i know that its not likely to happen and that they don't currently send women to fight anyway but still, the idea that i have sworn an oath saying that i will do it and that legally they have every right to make me is scary.

i know i will suck it up and speak the words, hand over my heart like a good "citizen" but the thought makes me shudder

I hear you. There are plenty of us born and bred Americans who shudder at the thought of 'bearing arms for your nation.' Gah.

hmm, that's kind of crazy, the becoming american bit that is. gosh we're picky people. no polygamy, no prostitution. boo.

well if you have to bear arms for the good ol' US of A you better start pumping iron with hubby. The guns gotta look good after all.

true dat. u know some members of the colonial fleet (very kindly) take bearing arms for the 12 colonies very seriously indeed. i should really follow their example...
