Last night at 2 or 3 am I was woken up by CATS. It sounded like there were a dozen howling, screeching, angry, fighting cats outside my window. I have yet to see a cat in the daylight.... but apparently they all come out at night to wake me up

If it's his title, principal is "kocho-sensei" (sometimes encho-sensei, depends if the school is a "gakkou" or "gakuen"). Kancho is something very different. :D Sounds like you're having fun so far! I'm still jealous. Also, at some arcades the yellow/green arrow is used to indicate a prize machine that's rigged to be "easy" to win.

Australia has car signs too. When you are first learning you have an "L" plate in front and back windows. Then for your first two years you have a "P" plate for "permit" or "practice" I don't know. The car vending machine sounds fun!
