It wasn't my idea to see it.

Why did Ultraviolet sound like it might be an okay action, comic-based movie to me? Why, in my right mind, did I expect even some shred of an interesting story? Was my brain misfiring? Did my judgement go on vacation? After sitting through a movie that has almost the exact same story as Commando but with less interesting catch phrases before fights ( Read more... )

there are still thousands of people who will go see it because there is a girl in tight clothing doing action stunts and matrix style camera angles.
im not familiar with the comic, and i for one doubt that the movie is as good as the comic, but that tends to be the case for all comic based movies.

i'm pretty sure it's not based on any comic from poking around the inkernet. it seems the dooker that directed it just wanted it to feel like a comic.

next time check rotten tomatoes before seeing a movie.

This review puts it in a more positive light, but also points out that it was not based off of a comic. I normally do not read reviews, especially before I see a movie. I don't trust them. In this case I needed closure. hah.

i just assumed they were tryign to play off of the success of "Aeon Flux". This assumption may have been correct if "Aeon Flux" had had any success.

I drove by a movie theater sign the other day that said "The Saggy Dog".

Did you see it? I think my problem was that I don't see commercials on TV anymore thanks to my TIVO. I thought Aeon Flux was pretty good. Ultraviolet was definitely ripping off ideas/plot from it, but failed. There was a scene when Violet is on one of those merry-go-round things in a park with another character, a dying child, and it was so bad that it made everyone in the theater laugh.
Tim Allen is a saggy dog.
