I finally had the time to go out and buy the book yesterday. You're review has made me even more anxious to read it. Here's to a kanji challenge.

Sorry, there is no way for me to read a detailed resume now?
I was late only for a day. ==

Hi! I've been silently visiting and reading your journal a lot of times to keep me updated about Shige. Just want to thank you for sharing! Reading your review about Shige's novel makes me more curious about it. I would have bought it if only I could read and understand Japanese. And apparently you are not the only one who found his book interesting and I don't know if you've heard the rumors today. It is said that his book will be turned into a drama with Nino and Ikuta Toma as the lead. If it’s true, that would be like "Wow"!

Thank you for the kind comment! ^__^
I haven't heard abt the rumor but I'd be so happy if something like that happens, Shige needs a lot of popularity ♥ Although I don't like too much Ninomiya XDD

Thanks for this
I read the book and I think it's brilliant too
Before I started I was afraid I wouldn't be able to finish reading, coz there's still a lot of Japanese vocabulary that I don't know
But once I started it just sucked me in and I couldn't stop
When I wasn't sleeping or working or eating or bathing I was reading XD
The way he played with the timeline was genius
And how everything linked up in the end and every episode in the boys' lives he wrote about had a meaning
There were smiles and tears and warmth and heartbreak
The darkness and light of human emotion and how they can exist in the same person at the same time
Now that I've finished it I feel a little lost LOL
But I'm going thru it again to appreciate the finer points (and learn the vocabulary :p) Reading the front again while knowing what happens at the back actually creates a more coherent picture of what was going on with the boys
Your bias is brilliant and I wish he'd write more, although I also want more NEWS activities... ahhh can he do both pls? XD
