1. I do. But I never seem to get decorated for it lately. I hand out candy and watch Hocus Pocus and Coco while I am doing that.
2. I LOVE Twizzlers, but I had the little fun size packages they make for Halloween. It's just not the same. :o
3. I got a whooping 17 last night. :( Our side of town is the old side, so we don't get that many. And last night the weather didn't help. It was mid 30s and had been rainy most of the day. Most of the trick or treaters had red noses. :o
4. I LOVE dressing up in costumes. :)
5. My first Halloween party at Disney World. It was such a blast. My last trip to Disney World, I did four parties and had a different costume for each one. LOL....... Hugs, Jon
Sometimes, when I'm in the mood for it. I usually decorate my front porch and the windowsills facing the street, leave out treats like pack of pencils with themes, stickers or glow in the dark bouncy balls since I buy candy for myself! I also watch spooky things on either my PC or TV.
Anything chocolate, really. Just no nuts or coconut!
Where I live, I rarely get Treaters.
I used to love choosing to wear a costume since I was young until my teens! As an adult, nope! I will wear black with a shirt that has a spooky graphic on it.
Where I would trick or treat, there was this family who loved being creative with fun scares. One year, the neighbor dressed as a scarcrow or something and sat on the bench near the front door and would jump and pretend to reach out to the kids when they knocked on the door.
1. Horror movies, decorations. I observe it in my heart all year.
2. KitKat or Reeses.
3. No. We're rural.
4. I consider myself a costumer. I went to SteamCon all 6 years it ran, dressing up for every bit of it. As a kid and a teen, I dressed up, even though I was almost always handing out candy rather than receiving it. Then when we lived where we did get trick or treaters, I'd dress up to hand out candy. And for the few years that we had a friend who had a Halloween party, I dressed up for that. The last few years it's just been too depressing to dress up just for myself.
5. Probably the time in junior high when my friend's father took us to a more expensive neighborhood and one house was really decorated, but kind of dark. The door was open. We went to the door and yelled "Trick or treat!" but no one showed up. We shrugged and started walking away. My friend was in front of me, and she turned around to say something, and screamed- looking at something behind me. This hunchback, bald with some scraggly hair, ancient, ragged guy
( ... )
The people who founded and ran it didn't manage the money very well- in fact, the money went by-by, with LOTS of debts owing, to the hotels, mainly. They did stupid shit like buying fancy new sound systems instead of paying the hotel fees. They owed back several years, digging themselves deeper and deeper... and I have no idea if they paid themselves huge amounts or not, or if they were reasonable there.
It sounds as though a good bit of the money simply "evaporated" the way money does when it isn't being handled properly.
Oh well. I bet it was a wonderful series of parties while they lasted. If I'm actually lucky enough to have a tombstone when I die, I wouldn't be surprised if whoever pays for it writes: Poor A----- always in search of a good Con and seldom finding one!

2) Twix Bars, Kit Kats, and Twizzlers
3) Not in my neighborhood, but I did see them downtown.
4) I do like dressing up in costumes
5) The many Halloween parties I've attended, and seeing the different house decorations while trick or treating.
