I loved Jimmy Buffett, and I also went to an outdoor concert of his right in Southampton! For about five years in the late 1990s, Southampton College had these huge outdoor concerts to benefit their Marine Science program, "All For The Sea," which, at the time, was considered excellent. They got "A-list" performers and the concerts were amazing. Ray's company was one of the sponsors, so we got sponsor's tickets, which pushed our seats nearer the stage, so we went every year. I only remember three concerts -- Paul Simon, Tina Turner and ... Jimmy Buffett. I can't say that I'm a "Parrot Head," but I loved being surrounded by them, and they made the concert even better. Their hats and outfits were so creative! As I look back, that concert is one of the best I've attended.

It's sad that he's gone ... and so young. (We discovered today he was only 4 months younger than Ray!)

And a few years older than TBG. He will be sorely missed.

Me, too. He seemed very down to earth.
