So many gave so much and not all of them were soldiers. Every year, I pray we find more peace. Perhaps this coming year, we will.

That is so true.

I know. So much for the 'War to end Wars' :-( I fear the world will never find peace. In fact it seems far less peaceful these days than it was when I was growing up (despite growing up during the height of the IRA bombings). I was reading an article the other day that talked about a fear of WW3 due to the whole Covid crises. Let us hope and pray, that will not come to pass.

Same with me. Both TBG and I had intended to make the military our careers. I don't hate how life turned out, but it wasn't what I had expected.
