Spike City Chapter 4

This was meant to be a chapter of Bangkok Butterfly, which I'm going to work on now. But SC wouldn't let go of me, so I had to write some more of it. The boys finally meet face to face. I don't think it's ever taken me four chapters to get them talking before.

Don't you just love cliffhangers? I do! It makes it so exciting waiting for the next part.

You're right. A little tumble is just what they need. I'm working at that, as you'll see in the next part.

In the meantime, Spike is digging himself into a hole so deep he may never get out of it. If he doesn't whack Angel, Porferro is not going to be pleased with him.

Spike is in trouble. He's been so busy mooning over Angel, he didn't see it coming.

I'm so glad you liked the "chemistry" part. Sometimes I despair of getting it right.

Spike's lost his detachment. That's for sure. Even though he's trying to get it back, it's not working. Once his eyes have been opened, he can't play blind anymore, and he's seeing Angel with his blinkers removed.

I think the inability to hold his temper is one of the most dangerous aspects of Spike's personality. When he's angry, he doesn't pay any attention to what he's doing, just goes for it. It's going to get him into a lot of trouble.

Hee. Spike is usually pretty direct in his wooing. If Angel wasn't a target, he would have had his way with him by now. :D

Spike lives in a very volatile world. He's made enemies along the way. Things may get a little dicey.

Yay for liking the tantrum. Spike tantrums are a kick to write. I never know what the little guy's gonna do. Sort of like dropping a firecracker into a picnic. Stand back and watch the excitement and hope no one's hurt. :D
