You know you might be in trouble when your expert calls to inform you that he can't attend his deposition today because he has been arrested on charges of corruption for taking bribes and is currently in jail. Thankfully he wasn't my expert.

Does it make me really lame if the most exciting part of my day so far was the possibility of getting a free copy of Ehrhardt's newest treatise on the Florida rules of evidence?

I have passed the bar. Now all that stands between me and an "esq" after my name is one little ceremony. I am pleased.
